An innovative, very high growth AI spinout from the University of Oxford is seeking a resourceful, technically very strong Product Manager with a development and/or DevOps background comprising deep knowledge of Java and cloud computing architecture.

The Technical Product Manager will be joining a team of some of the world’s leading experts in computer verification and machine learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll combine your technical skills, your passion and enthusiasm, and your unmatched creativity to generate grass-roots attention, support, and adoption of the product among developer and key industry opinion makers in the developer community. A flavour of your remit:

  • Developing and delivering compelling product demos on open source and pilot customer projects, writing technical white papers, creating sample solutions, and holding discussions to drive awareness and adoption of the client’s products amongst developers

  • Collaborating with internal teams to define the product road map and market positioning for their products

  • Identifying, driving, developing & supporting relevant community user groups and developer program initiatives

  • Leading the creation and maintenance of blogs, tweets, white papers, screencasts, demos and videos about their products for developers along with related and relevant emerging technologies, open source projects, and industry developments.

The Technical Product Manager will need:

  • Strong knowledge of Java and experience with application development platforms, cloud computing services & infrastructure, the software development lifecycle in enterprises and the open source community

  • Computer Science or Software Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience)

  • Great oral and written communication skills

Further skills (advantageous):

  • 2 to 5 years experience in software development or DevOps in an enterprise setting

  • Active open source contributor

  • Practical experience in cloud computing architecture work, systems or application design, development or operations

  • Content creation, public speaking and presentation skills

  • Extensive industry contacts in the software development field and the ability to work cooperatively with, and gain the respect of, software developers

You’ll offer a track record in teams that create products, applications or services, and have a need to guide the broader industry towards adoption and exploitation of a technology you firmly believe in. You have immediate credibility with Developers, Architects, AppSec, and DevOps functions. You love to influence and collaborate with research and development teams that share your passion and exhibit good judgment in selecting strategic opportunities to do so.
