An innovative, very high growth AI spinout from the University of Oxford is seeking an experienced Technical Author / Documentation Writer. You’ll be joining a well-funded central Oxford-based startup that develops cutting-edge technology to help software developers increase productivity and focus on creating exciting, high-quality software. The PhD team includes some of the world’s leading experts in computer verification and machine learning.

As the sole Technical Author you will be responsible for all user (Software Developer) facing documentation for the product. You will manage the creation and maintenance of user manuals, online (in product) help as well as preparing white papers.

The Technical Author will be expected to work with stakeholders across the company to gather requirements for the documentation as well as understanding how the product works. This can range from developers implementing features through to the CEO.

The successful Technical Author will need:

  • excellent written English
  • the ability to understand development processes and developer tools
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of git (SCM) and git book
  • knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • experience of working in an Agile (ideally Scrum) environment
